An environmental movie: Fern-Gulie

Maggie giving Christa the seed of wisdom
The movie focuses on a group of fairies at the deep rain forest.  They are a
kind of hide in the forest that they long ago stopped believing in human’s existence. They live in harmony and happiness. Everybody helps anyone needs.  The main fairy character, Christa is a young fairy that is a trainee of the fairy queen, Maggie. Christa, is fascinated about the idea of human beings, she is so curious that her curiosity has lead her to discover of humans by going far of her home, she has entered the rain forest. Suddenly, she has founded some humans that are in the forest for one reason: an uncontrollable exploitation of natural resources. The humans turn out to work for a logging company that has been charged with the clear cutting of the complete forest. The humans loggers end up accidentally releasing Hexes (the primary antagonist), who ends up enlisting the unsuspecting humans into his service. Hexes are a metaphor of all humans’ selfish instincts of money, power, control, and destruction of natural resources, some among. At Christa seems the cruel scenario of slaughtering trees, there is when she accidentally meets Zak, a young man that is working with the loggers as a summer job. Zak and the other loggers are not maliciously destructive. They are just following directions of one master, without caring of what is really happening. Christa, who is unable to control her powers, shrinks Zak to save him from calamity. Unable to change him back the two embark on a journey to Fern-gully where Maggie would help Zak back to his normal size. During the journey Christa teaches Zak how the deep forest is a living being that feels love and pain. At the end of the movie, Hexes ends up in Fern-gully trying on destroying it. Maggie has been getting older and she died, but before she gives Christa all her knowledge of the power of a seed. With this powerful seed, Christa pushes it in order to be swallowed by Hexes. The seed grows into a great tree entrapping him inside it.

I believe the seed represents the seed of wisdom. Education gives person knowledge; with it any human being can reach wisdom. Once planted inside anybody would have the ability to grow and change from the inside by projecting a better behavior. Where there is a lack of knowledge there can be no explanation of why some people reacts by selfishness. Everybody is capable to get this seed of knowledge, is just having the determination of do it, and follow our dreams. In this journey, a person would care more about our planet, because there is only one like EARTH.
